 TUPAKI TELUGU MOVIE REVIEW :

The much awaited dubbing movie this year around from Tamil to Telugu is this Tupaki movie. The Telugu audience are not so connected with Vijay who is a superstar in Tamil plus he doesn't have a good market in Telugu yet. So, basically this movie gets the attention because of AR Murugudoss who earlier has given hits like Ghajini and also directed a straight Telugu film named Stalin starring Mega Star Chiranjeevi and Trisha which of course was an average at box office. Harris Jayaraj is well known to most Telugu movie public.

 STORY : 

Coming to this Tupaki Telugu movie review, Jagadish (Vijay) is an army personnel as captain. He has two sisters and parents who push him to get married. Jayaram is Vijay's superior at the army. Kajal Agarawal was very well used for her glamour and at places for comic scenes. She did her job well, her costumes and youthful beauty in between the serious story line of Vijay who has to take on sleeper cells that are out to blast in Mumbai at different localities gives a different touch from the action part. Jagadish is a brainy guy who solves out the given riddles, puzzles in his ways and decodes some of the hidden messages with the given available resources. Vidyut Jamwal is a nice opposite number for Vijay who looks elegant with his long locks and macho physique. This serious game along with the romantic side scenes with the heroine is the story of this Thupakki movie. 

 PERFORMANCES - TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTS :

Vijay as usual did justice to to his role as an urban Mumbaiker. Kajal Agarwal was fabulous with her glamour. The commercial elements were added so smartly by Murugudoss may be especially for Vijay fans although they won't hinder any of the movie's central story line. Sreekar Prasad editing is so crisp, and he is undoubtedly India's top editor. Cinematography by Santosh Sivan deserves an applause, the scenes at songs locations are very well captured. A special mention to the stylist who made Vijay looked so bright added with apt costume selection. The dialogues are okay from Sri Rama Krishna. The VFX scenes could have been shot and showed better. The climax bash came out well but can be made better. There will be several question marks about the heroic deeds of our lead role but all those are over come by commercial elements. Apart from certain elements like stunts and romance the movie lacks logic at many places.

 VERDICT : 

The movie was brilliantly directed by AR Murugudoss. Tupaki Telugu movie has quite a handful of entertainment mixed with a very tight screenplay which obviously make the heads stick towards the screen. The dialogues at the pre-interval scenes and the interval bang was very well executed. The only minus were the songs which surprisingly slowed the pace of the movie, well very unusual of Harris Jayaraj's music. And other minus points include the dubbing part, the lip movements are not in sync with the dialogues which of course are a common for a dubbing movie. The movie will be a hit without any doubts in Telugu and will be a super hit in Tamil considering Vijay's fever there. 

 RATING :   6.5/10  for this nicely made entertainer.
