About IBPS:
IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Banks are Nationalized in the year 1975 and then the bank recruits unit was called Personnel Selection Services (PSS) , a unit of National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM). In the year 1984, this unit has become an independent entity as Institute of Banking Personnel Selection under the directions and guidelines of Reserve Bank of India(RBI) and some Public sector banks. The official webiste is www.ibps.in . IBPS has a mandate from 20 Public Sector banks to conduct the CWE (Common Written Examination) for the recruitment like PO / MT / Clerks /etc.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
1) Age as on 01.10.2012 should be at least 20 years of age and should not exceed 28 years of age for these banking Jobs. It is relaxed for 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC , 10 years for PWD.
2) Educational Qualification :
Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Computer literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute for this Job.
Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT is required for this Government Jobs. (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
STRUCTURE OF THE EXAM :
IBPS Recruitment is made based on the Online exam conducted by the IBPS. Government Jobs in India are a safe and healthy bet for all the smart young talented people for a bright career. APPLICATION FEE :
To get a ticket for an interview for the current Govt Jobs, IBPS exam is the only bus to get on and the Fee for this exam is :
RS : 50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM members.
RS: 400/- for all others.
Fee can be paid in two modes both Online and offline. Online mode is by paying through your online bank account. Offline mode is taking a print out of the challan after applying to the post and paying that at a bank and then re-entering the Journal number for the final conformation that you have paid the fee towards the IBPS Exam. IBPS exam fee can be paid at the given 7 National banks at all the branches. They are Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank and United Bank of India.
HOW TO APPLY :
