ILEANA D'Cruz or Illeana D Cruz was born on November 1,1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to her parents Ronaldo and Samira. Ileana started her career as a model and then turned as an actress. She has three siblings, one brother named Rhys and two sisters - Farrah , Eileen. She did her schooling in Goa and is currently pursuing her graduation through correspondence from Mumbai University.
Film Debut and Career :
She made her film debut in 2006 in a TELUGU film Devadasu. The Producer cum director of that movie was YVS Chowdary. Ram was the Hero of that film both making their debuts into the Film Industry. The Indian Actress then started gaining mass popularity among the film audience especially the South particularly tagged Ileana hot. Although the film was not well received by the critics, it was a box office success and gained lots of positive review for her fresh look, charm and beauty. Her second film was POKIRI opposite Mahesh Babu was a blockbuster making her one of the top South Indian Actress.
She then signed for the films like Rakhi , Munna , Khatarnak, Aata, Bhale Dongalu which were all box office disasters although her glamour was always a plus for every movie's business. In 2009, Kick starring Ravi Teja became a good hit and acclaimed good reviews for her acting skills. After Kick, films like Rechhipo, Salim, Sakhti, Nenu Naa Raakshasi were all another set of disasters until 2012's Nanban(Tamil) and Julaayi, both gaining commercial success. The hot actress made her Tamil debut in 2006 itself with Kedi which she would like to forget as that was a big failure.
In 2012, She made her Bollywood debut through the movie BARFI alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The movie released very much recently and is getting lot of good reviews. Now Ileana , the bollywood actress signed for another Hindi film Phata Poster Nikla Hero opposite Shahid Kapoor. She is now tagged both as Actress of South India and Ileana barfi.
