 KRISHNAM VANDE JAGADGURUM REVIEW :

There are some directors who will keep the audience anticipate for their movies and they are very rare in the Telugu film industry. One such director is Krish aka Jagarlamudi Radha Krishna. His Gamyam and Vedam are two movies speak volumes about his directon. On the other hand, Daggubati Rana is already a re-known star but still has to establish himself as a star at the box office. Both of them has teamed up and brought us this Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum movie

Coming to the Krishnam vande jagadgurum story, the story revolves in and around of Bellary region, Karnataka. Subrahmanyam (Kota Srinivasa Rao) is a legendary drama artist or theater artist of the most famous Surabhi drama company. His grandson is B Tech babu (Rana). B Tech babu has got no interest whatsoever on applying make-up, creams, facials, wigs, etc. Instead he wants to fly to the United States. This idea is not liked by Subrahmanyam.

On the other hand, mining mafia is on a spree in the region of Bellary. Reddappa (Milind Gunaji) is the head of this mining mafia and uses all his illegal methods to destroy the local villages, green fields and what not to fulfill his greedy desires. Devika (Nayanatara) is a social activist who tries to expose these dark secrets. As soon as B Tech babu reaches Bellary, he discovers his past and the connection with Reddappa and his rival Chakravarthy (Murali Sharma). B Tech babu then realizes that he has an uphill task to complete and a huge responsibility on his shoulder.

What would be that task? What are his responsibilities? What is that that connects him with Reddappa and Chakravarthy? All these make up the story of KVJ movie. Well if you guess the same odd hero-villain thing, you would be wrong and that has to watched on the screens alone.

 POSITIVES :

Rana Daggubati has put up a superb performance and one of the best in the recent times. Krish has made Rana altogether a different actor with this film. The interval bang and the pre-climax, climax scenes are major assets for this movie. Nayanatara looks glamorous and she too has got a part to play in the story's run. Posani Krishna Murali as Tippu Sultan is simply awesome. Milind Gunaji as Reddappa is okay, mind you this is his first film in Telugu. LB Sreeram as tribal leader Matti Raju has put up a terrific performance. Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu put up good performances.

From the middle of first half to the end card, the movies runs with brisk pace. The interval and climax episodes added with sharp writing and Manisharma's background music takes the movie to peaks. Krish has made this movie with utmost care and there are rarely any loop holes for the critics to catch. There is a superb twist in the second half and yes this place is strictly for no Spoilers. Action sequences are brilliantly displayed. Venkatesh as guest appearance in the song 'Sayyandri Nanu' is a thrilling experience.

 NEGATIVES :

The beginning scenes of this movie are made up with drama sequences which might not catch the pulse of mass audience. Some of the songs are not at all needed in the movie are their timing is also not good, in fact they are like mini intervals. One thing the Telugu film industry or say the total South Indian film industry has to learn quick, that is a Villain and his associates are shown powerful and intelligent but when it comes to the climax episode they are outdone just like that say a punch or two from the Hero and co. At the end, they become complete duds and the audience are eagerly waiting for that to change. Same has happened here.

 TECHNICAL ASPECTS :

Mani Sharma is too good with the background score. The action sequences and at the silent emotional scenes, a good BGM always gets appreciated and elevated. Cinematography by GS Gnanasekhar is good. Dialogues are outstanding and the editing is sharp. And Krish has kept his usual reputation of conveying social messages to the society added with commercial elements has worked well again.

 VERDICT :

'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum' is an entertainer added with philosophical thoughts. A stellar performance from Rana, very well laid plot with sharp turns and crisp run time are a major boost for this movie. Although the first 30 minutes of this movie is slow paced, it picks up from there and up to the end the same tempo is maintained. It is a must watch for audience in any part of this world. This is it about the Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum movie review. Do watch it in your nearest cinema halls.

Damarukam Dhamarukam movie review Telugu cast crew

 DAMARUKAM MOVIE REVIEW :

The most awaited movie in the recent months is undoubtedly Nagarjuna's Dhamarukam movie. After announcing lot many release dates in the past few months which got postponed to today, November the 23rd, 2012 Damarukam movie hits the screens all across the world. The prime reason for the delay would be financial conflicts between the producer, cashiers and distributors. All these delays damaged the reputation of RR movie makers and even Akkineni Nagarjuna too. Never in the history of Telugu cinema Nag's movie was delayed of a release on financial aspects. Now, let's get into the core of Damarukuam movie review.

 STORY :

According to the Indian mythology, in the battle between Suras and Asuras, the lone survivor of the Asuras is the Andhakaasura. In an auspicious time when Pancha Graha Kootami takes place, Maheshwari (Anushka) was born, Andhakasura (Ravi Shankar) comes to know that if he marries Maheshwari, he could conquer this world. The hero Malli (Nagarjuna) who falls in love with Maheshwari enters when this Andhakasura is in that pursuit. That's the prime story line.

 PERFORMANCES :

Nagarjuna is doing a socio-fantasy entertainer for the first time in his career. This movie is a class apart from the hero-centric movies of the tollywood where the story revolves around the hero and hero alone which is by the way a worst trend. But Dhamarukam movie has got story as the back bone for the film and full cent marks for Nagarjuna for indulging in the character of Malli. Anushka Shetty is pretty decent, that is all. Ravi Shankar with his action as the villain and his voice modulations is excellent and there are no doubts that he dominated most of the one on one scenes with Nagarjuna. Prakash Raj played an another prominent role. Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Raghu babu and others played their part with healthy comedy which of course added the value to this film in terms of commercial elements.

 TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT :

Director Srinivasa Reddy justified his selection as the director for this film. In an industry like Tollywood, it's always a tough job to direct a star hero and that too a high budgeted Damarukam. Mr.Reddy deserves an applause for his ways of moulding the script. Chota K Naidu as the cinematographer has done well with his positioning and lens adjustment. Devi Sri Prasad as the music director has given some good numbers and the re-recording is worth a mention. Graphics and the Visual effects are the primary criteria for any socio-fantasy movie, there are many scenes that needed the graphics and the team got them all right.

 POSTMORTEM :

The movie is a HIT without any doubts. May reach the levels of Super hit or a Blockbuster depending upon the promotion and some of the cheap negative publicity from some websites and fan groups. Coming to the highlights, the starting scenes and the climax are the major highlights. The interval bang clicked very well and is bang on target. The Nandi scene is probably the best moment of the entire movie along with the Aghoras fight. The drawbacks of the film are some of the scenes can be predicted. At places, the scenes shot are so pale even though the number of those scenes are very minimal. And the director didn't use much of Sweety, people would expect a powerful role from her like in the movie Arundathi but her role is kept limited. Apart from some minor hiccups, the movie is an entertainer. It's definitely worth a watch. This is all about the Dhamarukam movie review.

Release date : Friday, November 23, 2012.
Verdict : HIT
 Verylatest Rating : 7.25/10
