Indian Oil Corporation are looking for energetic and dedicated Graduate Engineers for recruitment as Officers/ Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) in the below given required engineering disciplines.
2) Candidates, belonging to General and OBC (non- creamy layer) categories, should have secured minimum 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations. It is relaxed to ‘pass’ for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
4) For candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any disciplines, other than mentioned above, for being eligible, they must have completed their BE/ B.Tech in one of the above disciplines and must take GATE-2013 examination in the discipline of their B.Tech. For example, if a candidate is pursuing his M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and if he did his B. Tech was in Computer Science & Information Technology (which is one of the disciplines advertised by IndianOil), he will be eligible, if he writes GATE-2013 in Computer Sc & Information Technology. On the contrary, if the same candidate had done his BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, he will not be eligible.
5) Integrated ME/ M.Tech candidates will be eligible, if they have already completed the course requirement for awarding BE/ B.Tech in one of the disciplines advertised above and will be completing their ME/ M.Tech in 2013. At the end of the programme, if selected in IndianOil, such candidates must have both BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech degree.
6) Candidates pursuing their graduation (BE/B.Tech) in combined disciplines like
Mechatronics etc will not be eligible.
Maximum 26 years as on 30th June, 2013 for the general category candidates. Age
relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per
the Presidential Directive. Reservations will also be maintained as per Government of India directives.
The selection methodology will comprise of the following:
a) Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers (GATE) 2013 score of the candidates in the concerned disciplines. The graduate engineers from the relevant disciplines, desirous of taking up a career with IndianOil are required to appear in GATE-2013 in the same disciplines. The disciplines and corresponding GATE papers along with GATE paper codes are given above.
• Group Discussion / Group Task
1) For Engineers/Officers , the basic pay would be RS: 24,900/- per month. But after the addition of allowances like DA, HRA, HBA, etc the annual Cost-to-Company (CTC) will be between RS: 9.30 to RS: 9.90 lakhs inclusive of performance related pay (PRP).
2) For Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs), for one year apprenticeship training will be paid consolidated stipend @ 35,000/- RS per month. Upon successful completion of apprenticeship training, they may be appointed as officers in the scale of pay mentioned
above.

WHICH ENGG BRANCHES ARE ELIGIBLE ??
Not all the Engineering branches are required for the given posts, some of the top branches like Electronics and Communication (ECE) , Civil, etc are ineligible. These Govt Jobs are meant only for certain branches.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
1) Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology in the above mentioned disciplines (full time regular courses only) from recognized Indian Universities / Institutes.

3) Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August, 2013.
4) For candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech in any disciplines, other than mentioned above, for being eligible, they must have completed their BE/ B.Tech in one of the above disciplines and must take GATE-2013 examination in the discipline of their B.Tech. For example, if a candidate is pursuing his M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and if he did his B. 2) The candidates will require GATE 2013 Hall Ticket Number(Registration Number) for applying to Indian Oil. The Hall Ticket for the GATE 2013 exam will be available on the Zonal IIT/IISc websites from 5th of December 2012 onwards.
3) After downloading GATE 2013 Admit Card/Hall Ticket, candidates need to apply for IndianOil online and that relevant link will be made available on the IndianOil's website www.iocl.com from 10th December 2012 onwards.
4) Candidates should click on the online application link , read the instructions carefully and fill in the online application form giving the accurate information like the GATE 2013 Hall ticket number, your full name, address, valid e-mail ID and so on. Please enter the names and other details as it is as they were filled in your GATE 2013 application.
5) After filling the application form and clicking on SUBMIT button, the system will generate an unique application ID along with the completed application form.
6) Candidate should take a print out of completed application, affix his/her recent passport size photograph, put his/ her signature at the space provided and keep with him/ her safely for future reference.
7) The passport size photograph affixed by the candidate should be the same submitted along with GATE-2013 application form and admit card. If the candidate is called for GD/GT and interview, his/ her identity would be verified with GATE-2013 admit card and GATE-2013 official score card.
